“The second trimester abortions were hard for me to deal with because they are admittedly a bit gory. …I remember witnessing one of these procedures and being disturbed at the sight of parts of a fetus being removed.”
An attorney for Dr. George Tiller responded to a grand jury petition calling for an investigation into the botched abortion death of a woman at Tiller’s late term clinic:
“The clinic respects the privacy of its patients, and continues to express condolences to the family, it is unfortunate that some have chosen to exploit this matter of personal grief for political purposes.”
“Kan. abortion foes petition for grand jury” Seattle-Post Intelligencer 4-5-2006
Tiller was never reprimanded for the woman’s death.
Dr. Brian Finkel is believed to have molested over 100 women in his abortion clinic. An article in The Arizona Republic quotes his lawyer:
“Finkel’s defense attorney Richard Gierloff said many of the 35 women who claimed Finkel twisted their nipples or strummed their genitals never wanted to testify. “They just wanted to stand in the back of the mob and throw bricks at Dr. Finkel. Some of his patients are narcissistic, manipulative human beings,” He also argued that the 35 women who complained are insignificant, compared to the patients that have never had a complaint.”

WSYX -TV discussed a baby born alive during a partial birth abortion. It was a segment on the news. This is the transcript:
“A woman 5 months pregnant came to Women’s Med Center in Dayton, Ohio, to get a partial birth abortion. During the 3 days it takes to have the procedure she began to have stomach pains and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Within minutes she was giving birth.
Nurse Shelly Lowe in the emergency room at the hospital was shocked when the baby took a gasp of air. [Lowe] “I just held her and it really got to me that anybody could do that to a baby. I rocked her and talked to her because I felt that no one should die alone.” The little girl survived 3 hours.

Mark Lally, Director of Ohio Right to Life believes this is why partial birth abortions should be banned. [Lally] ”
This shows what we’ve been trying to make clear to people. Abortion isn’t something that happens just early in pregnancy, it happens at all stages of pregnancy. It’s legal in this state any time.”

“It was really chaotic sometimes. I felt sorry for the women who had to cross that gauntlet before having their abortions.
One woman was so frustrated by the commotion that she unwittingly punched one of the escorts that was there to help her inside the clinic. She just clocked this poor woman because she thought she was an anti-choice protester. It was pretty insane.”
Those who have participated in sidewalk counseling outside abortion clinics often tell stories of angry and violent clinic escorts. In this case, a patient mistakenly hit an escort. Other sidewalk counselors have been attacked and run over with cars.
William Ramos, who runs an abortion clinic in Las Vegas:
”There’s a very common misconception in the lay public, and even way too common among physicians, that this is a nice, easy way to get rid of a pregnancy…
We’re telling them straight up front that if any of us needed an abortion, we’d go for the surgical procedure.”

The abortion pill is not an easy way to end a pregnancy but causes a great deal of pain and bleeding. Read first hand accounts of abortion pill takers.
Sexual abuse allegations against abortionist Laurence A Reich:
“You’re naked from your waist down. And you’re legs are spread. And you feel extremely vulnerable. I was questioning myself as to why I felt so uncomfortable. Because it’s a doctor, he’s a doctor.” She said after the exam he asked to take her out, “He offered to take me to lunch, At that point I realized — Ewe! Ewe! I have just been molested! I have just been violated.”
And:
“You’re in a precarious situation with your feet in stirrups and this doctor examining you. You’re pretty vulnerable, right there. And so when you’re feeling like something’s not right and you’re in that position, you — there’s really no option for you to escape at that point. I just knew in my gut that something was wrong. I was scared.”

In the New York Times Dr. West, the operator of the Dallas abortion clinic, says that the abortions by pill are not as easy as women tend to believe:
”They think that no matter how far along you are in a pregnancy, you just swallow a pill and that’s it.”
The article then says:
Dr. West said that he would offer mifepristone [the abortion pill], but that he was not happy about it because he thought surgery was much better. ”I’ll be forced by market pressures to offer it,” he said.

“ICU Mobile, based in Akron, OH, provided ultrasounds for 1,389 pregnant women. 613 of these women were “abortion minded.” Out of the 613 abortion vulnerable women, 533 or 89.9%, made a decision for life against aborting their child.”

A pro-lifer who infiltrated an abortion conference quoted Ann Furedi, head of the largest chain of abortion clinics in England. She is CEO of the British Pregnancy Advisory Service, which provides about one quarter of all British abortions and specializes in late-term abortion :
Having to contend with “all those Lennart Nilsson photos of a 17 week-old fetus sucking its thumb,” has made abortion activists like us “necessarily a little bit apologetic. It’s not surprising that a lot of young people are not enthusiastic about abortion. They’re not enthusiastic about killing unborn babies….
For far too long, said Furendi, the abortion movement has let religious anti-choice extremists dictate the agenda. But now the time is ripe to claim that “abortion is right.”……
“We need to claim the moral high ground. We cannot have equality if we are constantly victims of our own fertility. A woman is not just a vehicle for pregnancy. I respect human life but there are elements of human life that make us people…personal autonomy, decision-making…bodily integrity. It is morally reprehensible to deny this capacity for choice and decision making.”…
What’s more, [Furedi] went on, it hasn’t helped that “most women who come to our clinics are there because they are in personal need, not because they are pro-choice.”
