The owner of the Dator abortion clinic in Madrid told Dr. Jesús Poveda, a veteran pro-life activist, why he does abortions:

“I asked him how it is that he, being a doctor, knowing what an abortion really is, he can perform them, “explains Poveda,” and he replied: ” Even I am amazed at the things that I am capable of for money .”

Former abortionist weighs in on why doctors perform abortions

The late Dr. Bernard Nathanson, a former abortionist turned pro-life, said:

“Why, you may well ask, do some American doctors who are privy to the findings of fetology, discredit themselves by carrying out abortions? Simple arithmetic at $300 a time. 1.55 million abortions means an industry generating $500,000,000 annually, of which most goes into the pocket of the physician doing the abortion.”

“An Ex-Abortionist Speaks” a review of “Confessions of an Ex–Abortionist” in The Hand of God: A Journey from Death to Life by the Abortion Doctor Who Changed His Mind (1997) Quoted in Gail Koop Broken Land: God’s Message in a Bottle (Olive Press, 2016)

At the time of the quote, a first trimester abortion was about $300 in most clinics.  Today, abortions in the first trimester cost $450-$500 and late-term abortions are much more expensive. There is even more money to be made.

British doctor would make 400% more money doing abortions

From a British abortionist:

“The financial side of private clinics has attracted a good deal of attention. A Christian gynecologist told me that she had been invited to help in such a clinic with the expectation of fees 400% greater than her present income: it was added that most of these “would be paid in banknotes.” The implication of this would not be lost on the Collector of Taxes!”

Abortion clinic director on why women pay in advance

Laura Moody, director of abortion clinic Hope Clinic, on why they have women pay in advance:

“It’s the nature of the business. Unlike a family doctor, we don’t have a long-term relationship with the patient. They may have used an assumed name or a wrong address or phone number.”

They do not accept charge cards, only cash.
