Doctor Changes His Mind “As a Result of All This Technology”

One abortion doctor discussed how the advent of technology showing the unborn baby led him to change his mind about doing abortions:

“As a result of all this technology – looking at this baby, examining it, investigating it, watching its metabolic functions, watching and urinate [and] swallow… I was a physician pledged to save my patients’ lives, not to destroy them.. So I changed my mind on the subject of abortion.”

Clinic Counselor Describes Coping Skills

One abortion clinic counselor from Kansas said:

“This may sound like repression: however, it does work for me. When I find myself identifying with the fetus, and I think the larger it gets, that’s normal… then I think it’s okay to consciously decide to remind ourselves to identify with the woman. The external criteria of viability really isn’t what it’s about. It’s an unwanted pregnancy and that’s the bottom line.”

The Ultimate Euphemisms

Former director of New York abortion clinic The Center for Reproductive and Sexual Health:

“In retrospect, such a name for an abortion site is one of those ultimate euphemisms that our century uses to hide the enormity of what mankind is actually doing. Auschwitz is a “resettlement camp.”

Surgeon Saves Unborn Babies Yet Aborts Others

Dr. Joseph Bruner has operated on second trimester unborn babies with spina bifida. According to one article, “to ease the strain Dr. Bruner often talks to the unborn children while he works – to soothe them and keep them quiet, and to let them know what is going on. Sometimes he conveys a message from the parents, “We love you. We are trying our best to help.”

Yet Dr. Bruner is also an abortionist who kills children with spina bifida. He says this is “an increasingly difficult position to be in. Because we are performing surgery to improve the lifestyle of fetuses who have spina bifida, it is difficult to justify an operation that could also take that life away. As we walk through this minefield, society is going to have to take a good, hard look at itself, because it is untenable to hold both views.”

Dr. Warren Hern on Performing Abortions

In his textbook on how to do abortions, Abortion Practice, Dr. Warren Hern describes second trimester abortion:

18 weeks

“[at 18 weeks post fertilization age] it can be a significantly more difficult procedure accompanied by unnerving hemorrhage. Forceps use must be sure and relatively rapid. There is frequently not much time for exploring the nuances of different tissue sensations. Grasping and collapsing the calvaria [upper domelike portion of the skull] are often difficult. Stripping the calvaria of soft tissue is sometimes the first step in successful delivery of this part, followed by dislocation of parietal bones… [From 19 to 22 weeks post fertilization age] A long curved Mayo scissors may be necessary to decapitate and dismember the fetus, since it may be impossible to apply forceps or to do so while avoiding the thinned out cervix.”

UK Clinic Worker on Abortion

According to one abortion clinic worker:

“I work in an abortion clinic…An early abortion, i.e. less than 11 weeks, can be completed in five minutes if the patient is under a general anesthetic. Later abortions take up to half an hour, and I won’t pretend, it’s pretty difficult to watch. I must admit, I almost passed out watching one of the later abortions, but I’m glad I saw it… I’m in a difficult position because I do have sympathy for the fetuses that are aborted at such late stages..

Paper Presented to the Association of Planned Parenthood on Abortion

15 weeks – legal to abort in every US state

“the fetus was extracted in small pieces to minimize cervical trauma.  The fetal head was often the most difficult object to remove because of its size and contour.  The operator kept track of each portion of the fetal skeleton…”

Abortion in the Midtrimester

15 weeks

In a textbook on how to do abortions, late term abortionist Dr. Warren Hern says the following:

“The signs of fetal life on expulsion and the repugnance of dismemberment plague the alternatives in midtrimester abortion.”

Hospital Worker Describes Piecing Baby Together

One hospital worker who had no particular feelings about abortion volunteered to help perform a late term abortion when the assisting nurse, a Catholic, refused. He says of the experience:

“I remember very vividly passing instruments to a well known abortionist on the northeast side of Atlanta as he removed pieces of a then deceased child from its mother’s womb. It was like a puzzle, the doc pieced the corpse together to be sure it was all there. He then delivered the placenta.”

Today he is  pro-life.

Abortion Clinic Baptizes Dead Babies

Director of nursing at an abortion clinic:

“… When it’s a big fetus, you will hear them asking a lot of questions: “is it a boy or is it a girl?”, “Will it be baptized?” We’ve had many requests for that too. We do it, it doesn’t mean a thing. But if it rests somebody’s peace of mind, you baptize a fetus. I mean for the psychological effect. It’s not recognized by the church, how can you murder a fetus and then baptize it? I feel if it makes the woman happy, why not? If it satisfies her psychological hangup, whatever it is.… Anything under 24 weeks goes for the incinerators. They ask you what you’re going to do with the fetus, you can’t say incinerate it. I tell them it goes to city burials.”
