Clinic Worker Witnessing First Abortion Cautioned

“I walked into the surgical suite and headed toward the foot of the exam table. I was stopped and told to sit in a chair by the door because, they said, nearly everyone who watches the first time, can’t take it and either get sick or faint. Once you make it through one abortion, you are allowed to gradually move closer to the patient, therefore seeing more of the procedure.”

Woman Tells Her Story in Recall Abortion By Teresa Tomeo

One woman’s story about her struggles after an abortion:

“While in recovery I asked why I felt so sad. Would it go away? They told me it was relief from all the pressure that I had been under. They gave me something for pain and I fell asleep, crying. I woke up hurting and bleeding heavily. My mom was there. I heard girls crying. I started crying. I slept most of the way home. The abortion was never talked about again. It was like it never happened… The abortion was supposed to fix everything, but it broke me instead. My body was never the same after the abortion… With every pregnancy I went through, I saw my aborted baby in their eyes. I was full of wonder. I was also as pro-choice as you could be, very angry at the ones trying to tell women what they could or couldn’t do with their bodies. That anger and viewpoint validated my abortion. I have searched on the Internet for others who had had abortions.
I wondered if I was the only one hurting like this. I found Silent No More Awareness when it was just starting out. It was the first time I realized I wasn’t alone. I wasn’t crazy.”

Affidavit Shows Poor Conditions at Imperial Health Center

Author Monica Migliorino Miller describing the affidavit of an employee at an abortion clinic called Imperial Health Center under abortionist Milton Tarver:

“In the affidavit she described Tarver’s assembly-line approach to abortion. He shouted at the staff when they fail to fill the appointment times. With a woman lying on a table in each of his four procedure rooms, he would dash from one to the next. “Always in a hurry,” Patrice described him. He did the abortion so fast that often there was not enough time for the anesthetic to take effect. In addition, Tarver did not give women their full dose of twilight sleep when they requested it, even though they were charged for the full dose. Because of his speedy surgical methods, fetal parts were often left in the woman, necessitating a re-suction later.”

Legalizing Abortion Led to No Decline In Number of Deaths

If Roe save women from deaths in legal abortions, the effect was too small to have any noticeable effect on the death rate for women:

“Centers for Disease Control statistics show no decline in the years after Roe in the death rate of women aged 15 to 34, the group of women who account for 94% of all abortions.”

Legality of Abortion Plays Major Role in Abortion Decisions

Abortion researcher David Reardon on whether women would seek abortions if they were illegal:

“Given their doubts about the morality of abortion, most aborting women are strongly influenced by the legal status of the abortion option. When asked “Did the knowledge that abortion was legal influence your opinion about the morality of choosing abortion?”

70% said the law has played a major role in the moral perception of abortion….and asked whether of not they would have sought an illegal abortion if a legal abortion has not been available, 75% said they “definitely would not have sought an illegal abortion.”

Doctors Willing to Do Ultrasound Screening For Sex Selection Abortion

In a 1985 study, 2/3 of 295 geneticists surveyed would perform prenatal diagnosis (28%) or refer patients to another doctor to do it (34%) even if the parents had said they’d choose to abort if the baby was the “wrong” gender.

Jane English, Pro-Choice Activist, On Late-Term Abortion

Pro-Choice apologist Jane English asserts:

“…the similarity of the fetus to a baby is very significant. A fetus one week before birth is so much like a newborn baby in our psychological space that we cannot allow any cavalier treatment of the former while expecting full sympathy and support for the latter… An early horror story from New York about nurses who were expected to alternate between caring for six-week premature infants and disposing of viable 24 week aborted fetuses is just that — a horror story.”

24-week-old unborn baby

Baby aborted at this age:

Abortions at this age are often performed by injecting poison into the heart of the baby (or sometimes just into the amniotic fluid, which causes a slow death)and inducing labor. In other cases, these babies are dismembered.

Sen. Barbara Boxer Opposes Unborn Victims of Violence Act In Spite Of Grieving Mother

Tracy Marcianiak was five days away from giving birth to her son who she had named Zachariah on February 8, 1992 when her estranged husband came to the apartment and punched her in the stomach. She miscarried her baby and spent three weeks in the hospital herself. She lived in Milwaukee and Wisconsin law had no legislation saying that the killing of an unborn baby was a crime.

The Unborn Victims of Violence Act was legislation that would make killing a wanted unborn baby a felony. Pro-choice activists argued against this bill, which ended up passing.

According to Marcianiak:

“My son was five days from full term, and for them to tell me my son was nothing, it’s just wrong. Where were my child’s rights when he was ripped from my womb and killed, and I was told he was nothing?”

“Senate Passes Unborn Victims Bill” Fox news.com March 26, 2004, Debra Rosenberg, “The War over Fetal Rights” Newsweek, June 9, 2003

Marcianiak is pro-choice, but cannot understand pro-choice opposition to the bill. According to pro-abortion Sen. Barbara Boxer, who opposed the bill:

“They want to undermine Roe versus Wade and a woman’s right to choose. It shocks me. I’m at a loss for words, and that’s hard for me to be.”

Number of Abortions Increased 1500% After Legalization

Dr. Bernard Nathanson, cofounder of NARAL, explained how his organization helped make abortion legal:

“We aroused enough sympathy to sell our program of permissive abortion by fabricating the number of illegal abortions done annually in the US. The actual figure was approaching 100,000 but the figure we gave to the media repeatedly was 1 million. Repeating the big lie often enough convinces the public…

baby at 12 weeks, still within the time most abortions are performed

In fact, of course, abortion is now being used as a primary method of birth control US and the annual number of abortions has increased by 1500% since legalization.”
