Pro-choice authors compares early abortion to removing a wart

Pro-choice authors Jules Saltman and Stanley Zimbering write:

“In the earliest days of the existence of an impregnated egg, getting rid of it may be as simple as removing a wart from the side of the nose.”

There is no such thing as an “impregnated egg,” any more than there is such a thing as a “fertilized sperm.” The accurate term for a new human life just implanted in the womb is “embryo.”

Before this, the new human being is called a “zygote.” Calling an embryo an impregnated egg (or fertilized egg) is an attempt to muddy the waters and is scientifically inaccurate.

Although an early embryo may not yet look like a baby, the embryo is still a human being in a very early stage of development.

Life begins at conception.

Interviewer couldn’t convince women to talk about their abortions

Byllye Avery, founder of the National Black Women’s Health Project, interviewed many women about their life experiences. She says:

“Women have been totally silent about all the issues. But the issue they were most silent about was abortion. I was amazed that women would talk about the worst kinds of psychological abuse. But they would not talk about their abortions.”

Is there something about abortion that is so traumatic that women can’t talk about it? Many women just want to forget their abortions and never tell anyone. If abortion was just the removal of cells, akin to getting a tooth pulled, why would women have such a hard time owning up to and discussing their abortions?

Pro-choice activist describes the effect of ultrasound on pregnant couples

Pro-choice author Lisa M Mitchell writes:

“For some parents, the ability to see fetal parts [in the ultrasound] – especially the beating heart – and to see the fetus sucking its thumb, kicking, excreting, and responding to external stimuli may demonstrate that the fetus is aware of its surroundings and has the potential for or actually possesses distinctive human consciousness and personhood.”

Mitchell laments this fact throughout the book.

Pro-Choice man says pregnancy turns a woman into a “broodmare”

Pro-choice activist Donald Regan:

“Pregnancy is painful. It involves a significant risk of death. It represents an intrusion into the most intimate parts of the woman’s body… Laws forbidding abortion involve the requisitioning of the woman’s body by the state… [The woman is] relegated to the status of a broodmare (for this is how the pregnant woman may well view the matter) by society at large.”

Many women would disagree with this man about pregnancy. This pro-choice activist, who is presenting pregnancy as a terrible violation, is not writing from any kind of experience.

Billions of women worldwide are or were mothers, and many of them embraced pregnancy.

Woman calls her aborted baby a “magical little being”

A woman named Isa who had an abortion by pill said:

“It’s not a heartless decision at all. Some people say it’s just cells — it’s still definitely a magical little being.”

The article about Isa says:

“Isa said she had “baby fever” up until the time she would have given birth. Even so, she doesn’t regret her decision because she feels her baby’s spirit is still with her all the time. She said in a way she considers herself a mother and she believes her baby is at peace and is not angry with her.”

Isa says:

“My conversations with women about their abortions have been some of the most connective and beautiful conversations I’ve had.”

Pregnancy center worker tells of teen’s reaction to seeing her baby

A pregnancy center worker wrote:

“I’ll never forget the 15-year-old girl who, upon seeing her child’s ultrasound image, started crying. When asked why she was crying she said, ‘Everyone lied to me. They told me that I just had a blob of tissue and so it was no big deal. You are the ones telling the truth!’”

Geneticist testifies about when life begins

The late Dr. Jerome Lejeune, one of the world’s foremost authorities in genetics and discoverer of the cause of Down’s Syndrome, testified in the Municipal Court at Morris County, New Jersey, on April 13, 1991:

“Each of us has a very unique beginning, which is at the moment that all the information necessary and sufficient to be that particular human being, which we will call later Peter or Margaret, depending on its own genetic make-up, when this whole necessary and sufficient information is gathered. And we now know from experience both in animals and now in human beings, that this moment is exactly the moment at which the head of the sperm having penetrated inside the ovum, then the information carried by the father encounter[s] in the same recipient cell, the information carried or transmitted by the mother; so that suddenly a new constitution is spelled out….

Now we know, and I think there’s no disagreement among biologists everywhere in this world, that after fecundation no new information goes in. Everything is there … just at the moment, after the entry of the sperm, or it is not enough, and it will fail. Either the whole information for the human being is there and the human being can develop and organize, or it is not there, and no human being will develop at all.”

Jane Roe of Roe vs. Wade admits she lied about rape

Norma McCorvey, the plaintiff in Roe vs. Wade, which legalized abortion through all nine months of pregnancy nationwide, admitted that he lied when she claimed her pregnancy resulted from rape. Her lawyers, she says, were aware of the lie:

“The affidavit did not happen the way I said it did, pure and simple. I lied! Sarah Weddington and Linda Coffee needed an extreme case to make their client look pitiable. Rape seemed to be the ticket. What made rape even worse? A gang rape! It all started out as a little lie. I said what I needed to say. But my little lie grew and grew and became more horrible with each telling. …It was good for the cause! It read well in the newspapers. … The lie became the truth these past twenty-five years. …

Sarah knew the truth, the real truth, long before she ever went to the Supreme Court in 1971. Yes, the stated reason for my abortion is based upon a lie, a great lie. So the entire abortion industry is based on a lie.”

Woman describes “post-natal depression” after abortion

Elizabeth Zimmer, had an illegal abortion in 1966:

“After you have an abortion, you have a certain amount of post-natal depression – hormonal changes that trigger psychological changes. A combination of those changes and too many marijuana brownies at a party [a few weeks later] sent me over the edge. I went nuts. I was hideously depressed. The whole enterprise wound up eating a year of my life until I was back to a functional self again, back to work and back to school.”

This woman blames hormonal changes and a single instance of ingesting marijuana for a year-long depression after her abortion. It’s unlikely that minor hormonal changes and a reaction to marijuana would cause someone to be so depressed that they’d lose a whole year.

Abortionist tells of living aborted baby delivered into toilet

Abortionist Dr. Kathi Aultman writes about one woman’s abortion experience:

“For years I performed abortions before becoming pro-life. While I was actively practicing as an OB-GYN, a woman came to me suffering from prolonged bleeding from a late-term abortion.

What she told me was shocking. She described being given medication and then being left in a cold room overnight with no blanket or call button. The next day, she was given more medication, and eventually told to sit on the toilet and push. She delivered a living 20-week-old baby boy into the toilet, where he drowned.

The experience traumatized her, and she described having emotional problems following the abortion. I knew from experience that this was not an isolated case.”

Aultman says:

“At the time, only six states required abortion clinics to report babies born alive after an abortion attempt to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Florida was not one of them. This meant that cases of infant death after abortion were not included in the agency’s widely quoted 2015 “Abortion Surveillance” report.

Of the six states that did report these numbers between 2003 and 2014, 143 babies were recorded as having died after being born alive after an abortion attempt.”
