Boyfriend gives little support after girlfriend’s abortion

One man discusses his girlfriend’s abortion:

“I wasn’t in a position emotionally, financially, or physically to father a child. I knew that I didn’t want to have a baby by her or anybody at that point… I probably would have shot myself if my girlfriend had decided to have the baby… My girlfriend was upset when I took her home after the abortion because I had made a prior arrangement to attend a concert which I was determined not to miss. She wanted me to stay with her to take care of her and give her the support she needed, but that night I simply said that the concert came first. She was very hurt. I guess it was childish of me, but she wasn’t on her death bed and I was not going to miss that concert for anything less than a matter of life and death… After the abortion she was very upset and emotional.”

Depression and hopelessness as aftereffects of abortion

Pro-Choice author Miriam Claire lists the following as psychological effects of abortion:

“Depression: some women get into a state of depression which could be described as a general sense of hopelessness and diffused (unfocused) feeling of blackness… Feeling bad about yourself and your life and your environment, but without actually knowing what it is – a state of no specific emotion but this “darkness”… Feelings of worthlessness… and that nothing is of much importance… [Other reactions may be] Fear of Sexuality… Many women need time after an abortion before they feel relaxed and able to have sexual relationships again because they fear another abortion… Envy: Often women feel envious of other women who have babies after the termination… Some women will refrain from visiting their friends who have newborn babies as they feel it is too painful to be with them.”

Abortionists kill twin with down syndrome by piercing his heart

Pro-Life author William Brennan describes the following abortion:

“In June 1981 it was disclosed that the doctors at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City destroyed an unwanted unborn twin inflicted with down syndrome by piercing his heart and draining out almost half his blood. The successful implementation of this destructive procedure required the application of ultrasound “to hit a moving target [the baby’s heart] less than an inch across” with a needle.”

Harold M. Schmeck “Twin Found Defective in Womb Reported Destroyed in Operation” New York Times June 18, p A19

The doctors who did this described the operation as

“a very gratifying experience.”

Architect creates “cheerful” environment in abortion clinic

Author William Brennan describes how one abortion clinic was designed:

“An architect’s report on a modern abortion clinic interior emphasizes the significance of using plants and bright colors for creating a “cheerful and anxiety-free environment.”

No matter how “cheerful” an environment the clinic administrators try to create, what is going on behind closed doors in abortion clinics is the killing of babies like the one below.

Parents given the chance to hold their aborted babies

Dr. Renata Laxova, at the University of Wisconsin, provided abortions to couples whose babies would be disabled if born. She says:

“Parents are asked if they wish to see, hold the fetus (frequently they do), and whether they wish to receive photographs as well as copies of the autopsy report. After discharge, communication is maintained to provide and ensure support during the grieving process.”

Renata Laxova “Prenatal Diagnosis of Genetic Diseases” Comprehensive Therapy 6 (December 1980) 74

Quoted in William Brennan The Abortion Holocaust: Today’s Final Solution (St. Louis, Missouri, 1983)

Dr. George Tiller also allowed women to take photographs with their dead aborted babies. Since most fetal health problems are not detected until the second trimester, these are usually late term abortions.

Pro-Choice author on “stopping life from developing”

From pro-choice author Miriam Claire:

“Physicians are dedicated to the preservation of life. Abortion presents an inherent conflict because it involves stopping a life from developing.”

Miriam Claire The Abortion Dilemma: Personal Views on a Public Issue (New York: Insight Books, 1995) 132

She admits that abortion “stops life from developing.” Claire supports mandatory abortions for women on welfare.

Man is “furious and hurt” when partner has abortion

An American actor and musician whose partner had an abortion said that he was:

“furious and very hurt when I found out that my girlfriend had an abortion. She knew that I would’ve been happy to have a child with her and get married. I’m not against abortion, but I wanted to have children with her. I think she should have at least asked me how I felt since we were committed to each other – at least I thought we were.”

Abortionists refuse to use anesthesia, punish women

“… Reported in the Los Angeles Times on April 5, 1992. Canada’s Northwest Territories Status of Women Council reported that 85 women had suffered agonizing pain during abortions that were performed without anesthetics at Stanton Yellowknife Hospital. One of the women, who were mostly of Indian and Inuit (Eskimo) ethnicity, reported that as the doctor completed the abortion, he said, “This really hurt, didn’t it? But let that be a lesson before you get yourself in this situation again.” Another victim who had become pregnant after being raped reported that the abortion had been far worse than the rape. She stated that she had been pinned down during the abortion and had experienced excruciating pain. The victim was given no counseling and no sympathy. One woman who was scheduled to undergo both an abortion and a tubal ligation reported that just before the abortion, she was advised by the doctor that, “the anesthesiologist does not believe in abortions; we will administer the anesthetic following the abortion, for the tubal ligation.”

Abortionist tells of patient who blackmailed him

Dr. Bertran Wainer, abortionist:wk14

“I remember one woman said to me that if I didn’t perform the operation she would go home and do it herself (she was a Catholic nurse) and that if it went wrong then I would be to blame. I had point-blank refused to perform the operation. Confronted with that sort of emotional blackmail I immediately said yes. All my patients receive a consumer evaluation form to send back two weeks after the abortion. It asks various questions such as “Do you regret the decision?” And other questions of that nature. The Catholic nurse wrote that she was a bloody murderer and that I was one too. She wrote in red ink and said that God would punish us both.”

Baby born alive after abortion allowed to die

A report by the European Centre for Law and Justice revealed the following incident:

It was in 1973, I was beginning my second year at the nursing school and it was my first day of my internship in the maternity department. At 4:30 p.m. a nurse hastily came in the treatment room with a white sheets rolled like a ball, holding it to us and said “check that there are no instruments in it, take the compresses and put the drape in the laundry.” I was with a classmate I did not know because he was not from my school. He seemed older than me. Delicately we opened the sheet, removed all the compresses and discovered a lot of clotted blood: we discovered within the blood, a mass, that was a fetus, and he was still breathing.

We were shocked. Another nurse arrived at that moment and we told her that the fetus was breathing. As a response she said: “Well, put it in a basin, and wait!” It all felt so frigid! The nursing student and I talked and agreed to say that he was alive and that we had to do something immediately. So, we wiped and washed the little body and wrapped him in a “cloth diaper.” We delicately placed him on the tray and covered him. I do not know what his gestational age was, but he was a boy and his members were well formed.

Another nurse arrived, and she saw us near the fetus. She said we did well and we took this opportunity to question her: – “What happened to the mother? – She did what she had to do to abort and lost a lot of blood by expelling the fetus. She is now in the operating room and it is unclear if she will make it!” My colleague and I stayed near the fetus who was breathing heavily with increasing spaces between each breathe. It felt like time had stopped. We were there to look at him, this little living being, talking to him and stroking his little body through the drape for 45 minutes at least. […]

He finally stopped breathing and we left him on his tray. It was the end of the first day of the internship. I must say that the 15 days of internship were difficult. The nurses were running around like “a chicken with its head cut off,” and it was not possible to talk about this event with them.
