Woman who aborted disabled baby: my heart is broken

From a woman who aborted her Down syndrome baby:

“I feel fine about the decision, I’m fine with it. Nothing could have been more obvious. It’s just that my heart is permanently broken.”

“Abortion is an act of compassion and love”

Late-term abortionist Dr. Warren Hern, who sometimes performs abortions in the thirdtrimester, talks about a patient who cried after her abortion because she was so happy:

“She cried after the operation for sadness and relief. Her tears and the immensity of the moment brought my tears. I had helped her change her life. I was relieved that this young woman was safe to go on with her dreams. I thought I had found a new definition of the idea of medicine as an act of compassion and love for one’s fellow human beings.

Stephen Singular The Wichita Divide: the Murder of Dr. George Tiller and the Battle over Abortion (New York: St. Martin’s press, 2011)  31

Yes, late-term abortion is such an act of compassion and love. You are some pictures of that “compassion and love” at 20 to 24 weeks

Scientist: giving birth to disabled children is a “crime against humanity” – abort instead

When the fight to legalize abortion was just beginning in the late 1960s, some in the medical community supported legal abortion because they felt that abortion could prevent the birth of children with disabilities. Disabled people’s lives, they believed, were not worth living. Here is one example of a doctor saying that it’s morally wrong to have a disabled child:

“If life is sacred… Then it is about time we begin treating it as such, instead of continuing to commit the frightful tragedies we do in permitting individuals to be brought into the world who will suffer all the days of their lives from serious disabling defects… The initial basic right of the individual should be to be born without handicap. Anyone who, in the light of the facts, assist in bringing a seriously handicapped child into the world in my view commits a crime against humanity.

Abortion could prevent that crime.”

Respected scientist Ashley  Montagu “Letters to the Editor” New York Times, February 28, 1969

Planned Parenthood’s founder: “There should be no more babies”

Live-action just ran an article that drew attention to this video of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger being interviewed. Many, many quotes from Margaret Sanger championing racism and eugenics (the so-called science of separating people into the unfit (wh should not breed) and the fit (who should be having children).

The video came to my attention in this article

Woman having abortion by pill mocks her aborted baby

A young woman wrote a blog about her abortion by pill. She was at her friend’s house when she took the abortion pill and began bleeding was asked by her friend if, after she aborted the baby, his apartment would be haunted. She said:

” if it does turn into a ghost, it won’t be a very intimidating ghost.

She put the following picture  on her blog. This is what she acknowledges her baby looked like at the time she took the pill.

The baby is about 1/3 of an inch, the size of a grain of rice. Development of the arms and legs continue although the fingers and toes haven’t yet formed. The brain is growing as well as the lenses of the eyes, nostrils, intestines, pancreas and bronchi.

i think it would be much scarier if the embryo joined the mutant goldfish from family guy in the sewers. much scarier.”

After she passed some product of the abortion she could not recognize, perhaps the gestational sac with the aborted baby:

yeah i have no fucking clue what that is. i imagine it’s a blood clot of sorts. i’m just glad it came out before my [followup] ultrasound, because that would have been a little awkward.

“i can’t see anything, let me check for obstructions. :peruses vagina: well. this is nice. would you like me to wrap it up for you?”

this is the closest thing to keeping the fetus we could have come, and i apologize to all of those that wanted a souvenir. i didn’t have a jar of formaldehyde readily available otherwise i would have definitely saved it. however, i didn’t flush it down the toilet! it’s wrapped in tissue in the bathroom garbage bin and you are more than welcome to retrieve it.

Pregnant teen sees baby’s heartbeat on ultrasound, decides not to have abortion

“I went to an abortion clinic in Knoxville, just to talk to them to ask questions to make sure I was pregnant. They did an ultrasound. I think I was three weeks when I went. As soon as I saw her heartbeat I knew then that wasn’t an option. I knew I couldn’t do it.”

Lindsay Dougherty, at the time pregnant at 17

Abortion is “murder” but should be a woman’s choice?

Pro-choice and pro-euthanasia advocate Jim Taylor says that abortion is “murder” but he still thinks it’s wrong to prevent a woman from having one:

“I would consider prohibiting a woman from having an abortion, and forcing a woman to have one, to be equally wrong.

Some local agencies have accused me of being pro-abortion. I’m not. I’m opposed to abortion. I consider it a form of murder. Or of euthanasia, at the other end of life. I would not counsel any woman to terminate a pregnancy by having an abortion.

At the same time, I would not condemn any woman for having had an abortion. Because I cannot, and should not, make that choice for her.”

Jim Taylor “Fundamental right to choose” The Daily Courier January 11, 2015

More and more pro-choicers are saying that yes, abortion is “murder” or “killing” a “baby” (or “life” or “human life”), but that abortion still should not be illegal and that woman have a right to kill their offspring.

Abortion is “empowering” to me

Abortionist Eric Schaff:

The desire to control one’s destiny is fundamental. The physician’s role is to help our patients have healthier and more productive futures….Simply advocating for abortion services for my patients often left me helpless. Now, the ability to provide this critical health service has been empowering to my patients and to myself as a physician.”

Voices of Choice

Many women do not feel empowered after their abortions, but in fact, regret them.

There is something wrong with a person who is empowered by tearing apart babies like the one below

Father sees ultrasound of his baby for the first time

A pregnant woman talks about what happened when her ambivalent fiancé, the baby’s father, saw an ultrasound of his baby for the first time:

“My fiancé and I were a lot closer before I found out I was pregnant… We kinda drifted apart. I got him to go to the ultrasound with me, and once he saw it moving around and kicking and stuff, he has been involved ever since!!

He has been 100% supportive, and at my last doctor’s appointment he was excited to go! We heard the heartbeat and I will never forget the look on his face! Try to get the father to go to things like that, it will definitely get him going…”

Anonymous, Quoted from the AOL’s Pregnancy Message Boards, and reposted on abortion TV, a pro-life website that is now down.

Below: 3-D ultrasound of a 10 week-old baby. These ultrasounds are amazing, but even the traditional, two-dimensional ultrasounds can be a powerful tool in humanizing unborn babies.
