Adoption is Inhumane, Says Planned Parenthood

A publication put out by Planned Parenthood in Chicago said the following:

“But aren’t there alternatives to abortion? Yes, there are. A pregnant women can carry the baby to term and she can then keep it or relinquish the baby for adoption. Relinquishment is often not a very humane procedure.”

“Let’s Tell the Truth About Abortion.” Booklet distributed by Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood. Fight Back Press, 1985.

Is this more humane than giving the baby to a loving couple?

But adoption doesn’t help Planned Parenthood get rich. They see it as inhumane to their bank accounts, especially if many, many girls and women go the adoption route. Sure they’re going to want to turn people off to adoption. They’ve got a “service” to sell. If they want business to be booming, they have to promote a view that makes adoption unpopular. It’s all about making Planned Parenthood rich. That’s all. As one PP trainer said in Abby Johnson’s book, ‘Unplanned,’ “Non-profit is a tax status, not a business model.”
