Young teenager pleads with pro-lifers outside clinic for help, is dragged away from them and forced into abortion clinic

In 2011, sidewalk counselors outside an abortion clinic in Wisconsin witnessed the scene where a very young teenager (probably 11 – 14 years old) was being forced into an abortion by her parents and clinic escorts. Life site news told the story:

“Tobey Neuberger, a sidewalk counselor from Cedarburgh,[Near Milwaukee] said the incident occurred just before 10 a.m. outside Affiliated Medical Services, where she and two other female pro-life counselors gave a “very young” African-American girl literature as she entered the clinic, and told her that she could get more information at a pro-life center across the street. Witnesses said the girl looked anywhere between 11 and 14 years old.”

The girl came out to try and talk to pro-lifers, but was“physically stopped” by clinic escorts.

“Once she said she wanted to go across the street, she [the escort] held up her arm and blocked her, then she put her hand on the kid’s shoulder to stop her,” said Dan Miller, another pro-life sidewalk counselor and witness present at the scene. “The whole group of vigilers were pleading for her to let her go across the street to get free help, and they wouldn’t let her.”

“We could hear her say, ‘please take your hands off me,’” Neuberger, 42, told LifeSiteNews.com. “You could see it in her eyes.” The counselor said that the guardian, who appeared to be her mother, eventually came out of the clinic appearing “very irritated” and “literally pulled her back into the clinic.”

Neuberger said that while they have often seen girls appearing to be forced into the clinic, this situation was different, as the girl had actually asked the counselors to take her across the street. “We’ve seen it before, with the girls going in with red eyes … you get the eyes glazed over, you can tell. She vocally asked for help,” she said. “It was heartbreaking.”

During the conflict, the group of sidewalk counselors nearest the clinic asked for help from Miller, who was across the street, and who then called the police. But, he says, the operator responded by saying there was nothing to be done, and no officers were dispatched.

“I told her what the situation was, they said, well, there’s nothing we can do, she’s with her parents, so there’s nothing going on here,”

….

Miller also noted that the girl’s guardian responded angrily to the pro-life group as the pair left, calling out, “free help my a**.”

It is uncertain whether the girl in this case went through with her abortion that day, but she was not allowed to turn to the pro-lifers for help. So much for her “freedom of choice.”

Survey showed that 72% of men felt abortion was disturbing, further funding for research denied because of pro-choice bias

Dr. Arthur Shostak of Drexel University in Philadelphia found that 72% of the men he interviewed in a four-year study disagreed with the statement that “males generally have an easy time of [abortion] and have few, if any, lingering disturbing doubts.”

He requested funding for further research from the National Institutes of Health:

“They told me off the record that this type of work could be construed as antiabortion. It could indicate that the absence of counseling is leaving behind a destructive residual in many men. It would be seized upon by antiabortionists.”

They denied his request for funding.

There has always been bias in the medical community against research showing the physical and psychological hazards of abortion.

Planned Parenthood clinic worker: cleaning was done in haste after abortions, blood spatters often left

From former clinic worker Catherine Adair:

One of my jobs as a medical assistant at Planned Parenthood was to clean the room in between abortions. I clearly remember how quickly we were required to work so that the doctors didn’t have to wait for the next abortion. I was never trained on OSHA regulations -speed was more important than being thorough. Blood spatter was often in the wall, floor and table when the next woman came in for her abortion. It disgusted me and I always wondered what the woman coming in thought and if she noticed it. Abortion clinics are ONLY interested in money, they don’t care about the safety and well- being of women.

Some pro-choice advocates refuse to debate pro-lifers unless they don’t show pictures

A pro-life educator said the following:

“Some abortion advocates refuse to participate in debates with pro-life representatives unless the pro-life side is prohibited from showing any pictures either of fetal development or the results of abortions.”

Physicist: it is more inhumane to kill a chimpanzee than a baby

In an article in Reason magazine physicist Winston L Duke said the following. This quote is from just before Roe versus Wade, when pro-choicers were first beginning to advocate legalizing abortion:

“It should be recognized that not all men are human… It would seem to be more inhumane to kill an adult chimpanzee than a newborn baby, since the chimpanzee has greater mental awareness.”

Winston L Duke, “The New Biology,” Reason, August 1972  Quoted in Paul B Fowler Abortion: Toward an Evangelical Consensus (Portland, Oregon: Multnomah Press, 1987)36

Planned Parenthood compares unborn babies to mold on bread

7 weeks – most abortions are done at this time or later

From a booklet handed out by Planned Parenthood:

“Is the fetus alive? Is it alive? Algae is alive, and earthworms, and your appendix. Mold on the bread in the refrigerator is alive. People are not agreed on what a life is … If you look at pictures of human, chicken, pig, and turtle embryos at the same stage of development, it is difficult to tell them apart.”

West Virginia hospital sees many patients with abortion complications, says Doctor who supports admitting privileges for abortionists

“We commonly (I personally probably at least weekly) see patients at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in our emergency room or ultrasound center with complications from abortions at the centers in Charleston: so much for “safe and legal.” These patients are told to come to our hospital because the abortion clinic providers do not have hospital privileges to care for their patients, so we must treat them as emergency “drop ins.… No other medical providers are allowed to care for patients, have no backup coverage, and then abandon them to the emergency room. We would be held ethically and legally liable.”

Dr. Bryan Calhoun, vice chairman of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at West Virginia University. The statement was made in the letter he wrote on June 30 first, 2013, to West Virginia Atty. Gen. Patrick Morrisey, who was considering new clinic regulations.

Woman changes her mind about aborting baby after seeing ultrasound in abortion clinic

Ultrasound of baby at 10 weeks, a little younger than the baby in this quote

A pro-life website received the following testimony:

“I have one child (2 years old). He is my heart and soul. I contemplated having an abortion with him. I went all the way to the clinic and proceeded with the preparations. However, I when I [sic] was given the sonogram, I asked to see my child living and breathing through me. I was 11 weeks pregnant. I saw my son on the screen kicking and moving his arms! I could not believe it. At that point, I asked for my money back (I could only get a portion), and I left that clinic and did not look back.”

While Planned Parenthood has been promoting a study which purports to show that seeing an ultrasound image does not influence women’s decisions of whether or not to abort (conducted based on the records from one abortion clinic by researchers who likely never actually set foot in that clinic to observe what was going on), one has to wonder why, if ultrasound viewing really has no impact on a woman’s decision, pro-choice groups oppose these laws so strenuously and spent tens of thousands of dollars fighting them in court.
