It’s Not a Tonsillectomy

“Have you ever seen one? . . I don’t care what anyone say, it is not a tonsillectomy, not just any old medical procedure. It’s terminating a potential human life.” –

David Zbaraz, abortionist, quoted from “Abortionist: Doctor Joins Suit for Right to Do Operation He Hates”, Washington Post, March 3, 1980.

Dr. Weiss describes what he sees

You can count there is a limb here, I can see feet and hands, I can see skull fragments, I can see trunk.

Doctor Comments on the Faces of Aborted Babies

20 weeks

The fetus has a tiny face and a relatively large head. The bones of the back of the skull are very soft. When we make an incision in the base of the skull, we don’t disturb any of the skin covering the entire skull, we don’t disturb the scalp. So the top and back of the head itself just collapses and looks a little wrinkly and collapsed, but the facial structures are not disturbed at all by that procedure.

Dr. Carolyn Westhoff, abortionist, in sworn testimony in National Abortion Federation, et. al. v. Ashcroft, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, April 2, 2004

Anti-abortion activists impose their religious beliefs on others, says writer

A pro-choice writer speaks out against the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, which decreed that a person who harms or kills an unborn child while committing a federal crime can face charges for injuring the unborn baby. For example, someone who kills a pregnant woman could be charged with two counts of murder under the law.

No children, born or otherwise, will be protected by the so-called Unborn Victims of Violence Act that President Bush signed into law last week. The new measure is a legal trifle that makes it a crime to harm a fetus during the commission of another federal crime. The presumed logic of the bill is that terrorists, drug kingpins and interstate kidnappers will be deterred by the fear that they could face an additional charge if they cause a woman to miscarry during the commission of their crimes. We doubt it.

….

As we have argued before, whether a fetus in utero can be defined as a person with rights is at heart a theological question….. The end goal of the anti-abortion movement is nothing less than to impose its religious worldview on the rest of us.

Abortionist Admits to Crushing Babies’ Skulls

Testimony from a trial in New York concerning partial birth abortion:

THE COURT: Excuse me. Grasping forceps, does that mean you crush the skull?

THE WITNESS: You compress the skull, yes.

THE COURT: You crush it, right?

THE WITNESS: Yes.

Dr. Marilynn Frederiksen, abortionist, in sworn testimony in National Abortion Federation, et. al. v. Ashcroft, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, April 6, 2004

The skull of the baby is crushed in both the now banned partial birth abortion procedure (D&X) and the commonly used D&E procedure, which is still legal.

Live Births During D & Es

Dr. Carhart is a late term abortionist. One article says the following:

17 weeks, D &Es can be done at this point

Carhart said at least once a month, an entire fetus is expelled from the mother during a D&E he is performing. “The fetuses are alive at the time of delivery,” he said. There is a heartbeat “very frequently.”

Abortionist: Embryo’s Heart Can be Beating in Cannula

“Question: Can the heart of a fetus or embryo still be beating during a suction curettage abortion as the fetus or embryo comes down the cannula? Answer: For a few seconds to a minute, yes.”

Sworn testimony given in US District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin (Madison, WI, May 27, 1999, Case No. 98-C-0305-S), by Dr. Harlan Raymond Giles, an abortionist.

Punitive role for abortionists?

Marge Brerer in a workshop entitled “Feminist Perspectives and Reactions” a conference on RU-486:

“Abortion providers, if they are to offer women an open choice between this new method, and vacuum aspiration – and I don’t think it’s at all clear that abortion providers as a group, let alone as individuals, are going to be willing to give women an open choice – in fact, I think there’s some indication that the opposite may be the case – then they will need to explain the differences and similarities in a coherent and accurate way to women.

Women have often said that they see the provider as having a supportive role. I would like to ask whether providers will still be able to have a punitive role, if that’s the role they want to have.”

Anti-progestin Drugs: Ethical, Legal, and Medical Issues, Arlington, Virginia, December 6 – 7, 1991

A punitive role? This feminist hints that some abortion providers have contempt for their patients. Read about this here.

Former Clinic Worker Describes Stigma

“After you work at Planned Parenthood, you’re set apart.  It’s a stigma.  As a single parent it’s lonely… people look at you differently.  The medical community does too.  Planned Parenthood makes you feel like you’re stuck there because you’ve been involved with abortion… When I left Planned Parenthood, I never wanted to think about it again.  It worked for a few years, but eventually I went out to pray during 40 Days for Life.  I figured after that I’d be done, but God has more in store for me.”
