Pro-abortion activist: I’d vote for Biden even if he boiled babies and ate them

Pro-abortion author and activist Katha Pollitt wrote about why she would vote for Joe Biden even if he was a sexual predator. She also says:

“I would vote for Joe Biden if he boiled babies and ate them. He wasn’t my candidate, but taking back the White House is that important.”

Staff who assist with abortions suffered nightmares

An article on abortion describes the nightmares staff who assist in abortions have:

“Nursing staff at hospitals in Cleveland, Grand Rapids, Fort Lauderdale and elsewhere have rebelled at late abortions and have stopped their hospitals from performing any abortions later than the midpoint of pregnancy. Some staff members who regularly perform late abortions report having nightmares about fetuses, including recurring dreams in which they frantically seek to hide fetuses from others.”

Woman was “very happy” to learn she was pregnant, but still has an abortion

In a research study, a woman talks about her pregnancy that was ended by abortion. She deliberately did not use contraception and got pregnant:

“I used to think it would be nice to have my own little baby and I really loved this man. But I didn’t think marriage would be quite the same. But having a baby would be great.… When I found I was pregnant, I was very happy. [Smiles and laughs]

[Why abortion?] I was happy at first, when I got pregnant. I knew it would be a love baby. However, I hadn’t really thought everything yet. Then my roommate started getting me sensible. How could I feed this poor little thing? How could I raise the baby all by myself? I couldn’t run my own life, let alone a baby’s. I began to realize there was no way I could support the baby.”

Pro-Abortion activist complains about fetal imagery

Irish pro-abortion activist Ursula Barry wrote:

“It is worth posing the question of whether the widespread use and normalizing of foetal imaging, made possible by scanning technology, has in practice fed into the ideology of foetal rights?

Taken together, the combined impact of the development of imagery is closely linked to the strength of foetal rights ideology.… In an important sense, technology has been used to bolster the case for regarding the foetus as independent of the mother.”

Indian official describes abortion and compares it to a tooth extraction

S Chandrasekhar, who was in charge of implementing India’s family planning program, describes a first-trimester abortion as it was done in India:

“Abortion by suction or aspiration was perfected in the Soviet Union. Today this method has come into vogue in many parts of the world besides the communist countries.…

A sterile hollow metal tube (with a little window -like aperture on the side near its tip) is inserted through the cervix to reach the top of the uterine cavity. This hollow aspirator is then connected by transparent plastic tubing to a suction bottle.

The suction pump…is then started, reaching between 1/2 and At/m of negative pressure. While gently sweeping the aspirator around the uterus, the surgeon can tell when he has made contact with the embryo by observing the bits of foetal matter that appear in the transparent tubing.

The aspirator is worked over the area in the uterus where the embryo is attached until all the tissue has been sucked into the tubing. The operation lasts no more than three or four minutes with only a slight loss of blood…

The present abortion methods are so safe and simple that they are no more hazardous than a tooth extraction.”

British politician compares preborn baby to tumor

One British politician wrote:

“The destruction of a full grown child is a revolting affair, whereas the abortion of an early foetus differs but little from the removal of a uterine tumor.”

Glanville Williams The Sanctity of Life and the Criminal Law (New York: Knopf, 1968) 230 – 232

A preborn baby has a heartbeat at 16-21 days and a developing brain by three weeks. Brain waves have been recorded as early as 43 days after conception.

Some women are unsure about their decision, says abortionist

Dr Philip Goldstone, abortionist, medical director of Mary Stopes Australia:

“I see women who I think fall into three groups. The majority of women have found out that they have an unplanned pregnancy and they know that it is not the right time for them in their life and they know that they need to have a termination. Some women are very comfortable with that decision. Other women are very sure of that decision, but are upset about the decision that they are sure about. There is a smaller group of women who are unsure of the decision and they are the women who need further decision-making counselling. …. Most women we see, by the time they come to the clinic, are sure of their decision and they will have varying emotional responses to the decision that they have come to.”

Pastors took their daughters for abortions

From pro-life activist Bryan Kemper:

“I can’t tell you how many times I have talked to kids whose parents forced them into abortion to avoid having to face society and the church because they “failed as parents.” I’ve seen pastors take their daughters into abortion clinics because they are more concerned about losing their church than the welfare of their daughter and grandchild.”

Women having abortions experience “desperation” says abortion clinic volunteer

Michelle Oberman volunteered at a Planned Parenthood abortion center. She says:

“Women choose abortion for a multitude of reasons, and yet, a sense of desperation is almost always present among them.”

Michelle Oberman Her Body, Our Laws: On the Front Lines of the Abortion War from El Salvador to Oklahoma (Boston, Massachusetts: Beacon Press, 2018) 1

Desperation and empowerment don’t really go together. It’s almost like abortions are tragic choices.
