When Oklahoma resident Pam Brown realized she was pregnant for the second time in 18 months, she felt like an abortion was her only option.
At the clinic, the doctor performed an ultrasound to gauge how far along Brown was in her pregnancy. She saw something that would change her life forever: two tiny, moving heads.
“I got up right then and walked out,” she said.
Today, Brown has 16-year-old twin sons.

I remember that when she went into the recovery room [after her abortion] I gave her a stuffed animal to hold and seeing her clutch it in a gesture of natural protection pondered on how sex and abortion had irrevocably altered the nature and reality of childhood -of her childhood.
And so it comes to me that one may view abortion ultimately as a “choice of victims”.
