The Playboy foundation made a $2500 donation to NARAL  in 1971.

Bernard N Nathanson, M.D. with Richard N Ostling. Aborting America (Garden City, New York: Doubleday & Company, 1979) 149

NARAL is now known as NARAL Pro-Choice America, and is one of the biggest pro-abortion organizations in the United States. In the 1970s, when it was founded, it was active in trying to legalize abortion throughout the US. One of its founders, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, an abortionist, later became pro-life and produced the pro-life movie “the Silent Scream”, where an unborn baby can be seen fighting for his life while being aborted on ultrasound.

Abortion Clinic Bomber Gives Her Reasons

A woman who bombed an abortion clinic called the police. She gives her reasons for what she did:

Before I got married, I got pregnant. Everyone told me that a fetus was just a little shapeless blob anyway, so I got an abortion.

Then, after it was too late, a friend gave me some literature one day showing how the baby developed at different stages. I never realized at that stage, a fetus is so much a baby that some of them have been born at that point and LIVED!

Well, you cannot imagine what that did to me, knowing I had not just had an “unwanted intra-uterine growth “removed” but had KILLED my baby! It just about ruined my life. Even today, several years later, I lay awake at night sometimes crying about it.

So maybe you can understand my reasons for doing what I did.”

50% of Abortion Doctors Are Over 50

From an article that discussed a new policy among medical schools in New York to force medical students  to have training in  performing abortions:

“Of the roughly 2,000 doctors who now perform abortions, more than half are over 50.”

Dr. Allan Rosenfield, dean of Columbia University’s School of Public Health, estimated that 15 percent of OB-GYN residents might refuse abortion instruction for reasons of conscience

The policy would allow students who opposed abortion to opt out of the  training.

DAVID CRARY “ABORTION-TRAINING DEBATE RAGES” The Columbian (Vancouver, WA) May 28, 2002

There is hope that many  abortion doctors will retire in the coming years and there may not be new doctors to replace them. One of the reasons why many medical students don’t want to become abortionists is the stigma that comes with the job. Read more about that here.

Saline Abortions Developed in Nazi Germany

The saline abortion procedure was originally developed in the concentration camps of Nazi Germany

Thomas Hilgers and Dennis Horan, editors Abortion and Social Justice (New York: Sheed & Ward, 1972) 292

A saline abortion is performed by injecting a poisonous salt solution into a woman’s uterus which poisons the baby and Burns’s skin over the course of several hours. After the baby dies, labor is induced and the woman gives birth to her dead child. This technique of abortion led to so many live births and was so dangerous to women that it was abandoned in the early 1990s and is now seldom performed.
