Dr. Renata Laxova, at the University of Wisconsin, provided abortions to couples whose babies would be disabled if born. She says:
“Parents are asked if they wish to see, hold the fetus (frequently they do), and whether they wish to receive photographs as well as copies of the autopsy report. After discharge, communication is maintained to provide and ensure support during the grieving process.”

Dr. George Tiller also allowed women to take photographs with their dead aborted babies. Since most fetal health problems are not detected until the second trimester, these are usually late term abortions.
