Former abortionist comments on doctor/patient relationship

Former abortionist Dr. Robert Siudmack comments on the lack of doctor/patient relationship in an abortion clinic:

“I would like to believe all doctors share a genuine concern for the health and well-being of their patients. The doctor-patient relationship is unique one that is started on the first visit and develops over the course of time. In an abortion clinic, there is no doctor-patient relationship. The doctor enters the room, there’s a brief introduction. The patient is already on the table ready to have the procedure done.  There is no sort of opportunity for any sort of meaningful relationship to develop.”

  1. OMG!! Dr. Siudmack delivered BOTH of my daughters–he was my OB/GYN for years when I lived in FL. I loved him sooo much; he was (and I assume still is) an amazing doctor, and an awesome, caring, funny, delightful man. I remember telling him when I was pregnant with our first daughter (I’d been with him about three-four years at that point), he was so thrilled for us and gave me a big hug. It was obvious how much he loves babies, and delivering babies. We still have the pictures of him holding and kissing our newborns, and one wall in his office was full of such pictures. In all of them he had the same delighted smile.

I actually went to him the first time right after my abortion; he was so kind and friendly. A few years later we discussed it a bit, when I told him how I regretted it and that I wished I hadn’t done it. He told me a bit about how he used to perform them but stopped, largely for the same reason I changed my mind about the whole thing: neither of us could deny anymore the reality of what actually happened during abortion.

I think of him often, and wish he was still my doctor (we moved). I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Siudmack. A wonderful man.
