Former abortionist: Dr. Consuelo Sague

Dr. Consuelo Sague, a former abortionist:

“Once a person becomes accustomed to inflicting pain, he becomes callous in other ways.

One of my teachers, a very clever professor, who performed many abortions, turned very cold in his attitude towards women. He didn’t care about them at all. He was unaffected by their physical and emotional pain. He had an academic detachment from women in their feelings. Yes, I think doctors who do abortions become dehumanized. They have to.”

  1. This “quote” from me materially misrepresents my opinion. I strongly favor peaceful alternatives and solutions to the critical problems that drive abortion (including universal access to highly effective contraception and universal nonjudgmental economic and social support for women and children through adolescence and young adulthood) I oppose all efforts (including efforts under the guise of “protecting” women) to restrict by legislation or regulation access to safe and legal abortion. Such legislation does not reduce abortion per se so much as drive women to unsafe abortions and unwanted childbearing.
